Hanging out this afternoon...

I really like that new Nick.leback song and it's been stuck in my head.

Yes, I'm still here. Yes, the adoption is cruising along although we are still in hurry up and wait mode.

It's been crazy busy at work and home. We have my 11 year old niece staying with us for a month or so. She lives outside of Memp.his with her mom and she comes up every summer to see her Mich.igan family. I love this girl to pieces! Pieces, I tell you! I would keep her forever and ever if I could.

We hustled to get the room done so she would have a nice room to stay in while she's here. I warned her next year the room would house a baby (most likely) but we'd have a new room all set up for her. Here's a pic of the finished product, before her 3 suitcases were moved in.

Once we adopt this bed will likely be put in the attic. I have a crib and a toddler bed all ready to move in there when needed.

This is short and sweet. Just wanted you all to know I'm reading your blogs although not commenting too much. I'm thinking of you all and praying for you, too!! God's blessings on you all!!!

P.S. My faith story has been in edit for almost 2 weeks. It's hard to write it out in 5 minute increments!

I too am looking forward to your faith story! The room is super cute and I am sure your niece loves spending time with you guys. Does she go to your parents house when you are at work? Or are you taking some time off for work? Either way, enjoy this great time! God Bless! (And you better post as soon as you hear something on the adoption front...please don't keep us in suspense!) Ha! We can be so demanding...I know.

Hey girls! FYI, the bedding is from Walmart! We bought a rug there Sunday that she got to pick out and it matches the bedding.

She gets to hang with either Uncle E or my mom when I'm working (I can't take time off due to the conversion)and me evenings and weekends. She said last night she'd love to move up here.

I promise I'll write as soon as I know something about our adoption! Our CW is finishing up the home study report. Our foster application has been approved by the state but the licenser has not been here yet to do the inspection. We should be approved to adopt by month end but the foster approval will take several more months (I think). Thanks;)

Glad to hear from you too! I think after our last rejection we are going to explore foster to adopt and really explore different agencies. We are not feeling to good about the current one right now. That is so cool that your niece is staying with you. How fun!

BTW: My g/f is going to give us her crib so we are a little more ready if another call comes.
