In the words of T.om Pe.tty, waiting is the hardest part.
There is nothing going on right now. Nothing. We are still working on the bedroom. Mud is going on the walls today and I should be able to sand it this weekend and paint next week. But as far as the adoption goes, we have heard nothing. I checked with our friends who are references and they have received nothing from the agency yet. We sent all our paperwork in two weeks ago today.
So, that's it! Waiting. Hurry up and wait. I guess I've waited 12 years, what's a few more months? God has granted me with the gift of incredible patience.
Long overdue final update (such a good one)!

Ugh!! Sorry that you haven't heard anything. I am like that too...hurry up and then wait - it is the pits! You are truly gifted and blessed with patience and a great inspiration for me! I hope and PRAY you hear things soon! God Bless and have a great rest of the week!
I totally understand especially when you are dealking with the state. I hate it! They told us it would be "quick". And in actually it has been fairly quick....But 2 weeks means 4 weeks, and 6 weeks means 18. ;) They did my homestudy two months ago. It's still not complete... :)
It's wait, wait, wait until they have a child for you to adopt or foster then it's can we bring the child now? Crazy how it works. That is great that you are patient. You'll need lots of that when the child comes to your home.
My dh and I were just discussing how it must feel to the child to come to a strange home, sleep in a strange bed, and have two strange adults looking after you. I bet it's tough. hmmm....
